Today we re filmed the band sequence, and it was extremely successful. We used a different band singer, and two guitarists and a drummer. The filming we done consisted of shots of each band member alone, and also whole band ones As well. Using the tripod i was able to get close up and abstract angled shots of the singer which will be interesting to see when we upload our footage. Also we used the lighting the same as before, which fitted in with our genre and also we included a projection within the backdrop of a tarantula.
The filming was positive and we feel we bettered the video by re filming, when we upload the footage next lesson, were going to edit through what we want and then add it into our video, near for our video to be complete.

Over all Progress
Overall at the moment i feel happy with the groups progress and feel that we are on track. All of our filming was successful in the end, and the editing process is so far running smoothly. Even though we story boarding original ideas, whilst the group has been editing and making the video come together more ideas are flowing which is bettering the video. Our aim is to make the video as professional as possible and to grab our target audiences attention. We want our video to look like something that would be seen on TV, not just a video that we've made at school. To achieve this we're going to be taking risks with ideas, such as different and unique camera angles, affects on clips, non linear order. Looking at other artists relevant videos such as ''The Prodigy''. has influenced us to carry on and the push the ''Band'' idea even further, as it seems that all bands of our genre include this in their video.
Editing
We all had a go at editing again, James, John and Andy are more experienced with using the programme ''Final Cut'', so they have been teaching me how to use it. I have so far been able to edit several clips - shorten them in time, insert our chosen song, and make clips all come together using transitions to ensure that the piece flows. By having the rest of the group to help me out, it enables me to further my knowledge and also become more involved with the technical side of the music video, as my role previously was organising, and lights.
Next i want to learn how to put an affect on a clip to make the clip seem abstract, maybe playing around with the brightness and contrast if that's possible.

Re - Filming
Over the half term, we have been planning when we are able to re film parts of the music video, and what parts need re shooting. We went through the clips that we had and identified what work wasn't as strong as some of the stuff we had already done.
We came to the decision that we needed to re film some of the band sequence, and the woods with the injecting, and also add in some more abstract funky shots. This therefore means that we need to bring in all of our relevant props, these being, the needle and syringe, the belt, band equipment, and James is going to bring in real drum sticks as in the video you are able to see their not real sticks, and makes the video look cheap and false.
